About me…

After graduating from the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, I started my career as an engineer at Liverpool’s Parr Street studios and quickly moved on to also programming, arranging and assisting other composers and artists in studios across London.

I’ve composed scores for several documentaries, including Channel 4’s critically acclaimed Proud and Prejudiced, collaborated with boutique Japanese game developers, Q Games (Shooter 1 & 2 and SideScroller), created scores for Nokia (Bossa Studios) and Enigma Express (Relentless Software).

Album work includes producing and arranging for EMI classics artist Maksim at Abbey Road with well-respected engineer/producer Jonathan Allen. I’ve also produced and co-written tracks with Kovak (play-listed on BBC Radio 2), promising new artists FableJuliet Russell (vocal coach on BBC1’s The Voice) and Zulu Nation/Rhyme Syndicate member Dynamax on the project “Years of the Canine”.

My electronic score for Pixel Junk Shooter earned a BAFTA nomination.

I am also director of audio at game studio Snap Finger Click, completing music and sound design for several titles there including It’s Quiz Time! and Family Feud on behalf of Fremantle Television and Ubisoft.

Other featured music includes commissions from agencies such as  BBH, Brothers and Sisters, VCCP and Langland (IDIS – AWWWards winner) for brands such as Carlsberg and HSBC.

Previously, I worked with Guy Pratt on the score for Spaced  (Channel 4), Linda Green (BBC1) and the theme music to The Pepsi Chart Show; collaborated with Jimmy Cauty (KLF) and Alex Paterson (The Orb) as Transit Kings (featuring Jonny Marr of The Smiths and The Fast Show’s Simon Day), remixed for artists including Talvin SinghJust Jack and The Nextmen. I’ve also spent time in Mumbai writing music for Bollywood films such as Deewarstarring Amitabh Bachan. I’ve been a member of seminal dance pioneers The Orb, playing festivals in Japan, the UK and Europe as well as with my own group High Frequency Bandwidth. Other credits include collaborations with the producer Youth, plus engineering and programming for artists such as David Bowie, Rick Wright (Pink Floyd), Liberty X, Lulu, Catherine Jenkins and Placebo amongst others...

2018 I joined Guy Pratt, Gary Kemp and the Blockhead’s guitarist Lee Harris with Pink Floyd’s Nick Mason to form “Nick Masons’ Saucerful of Secrets”, completing tours of the UK, North America and Europe. Our live album was well received, peaking at Number 5 in the UK album charts.
